About Us
Informulate was born in 2007 as the ambition of group of three software architects looking to create a niche for Value-Based Consulting. Informulate defines this mission of value-based consulting simply as: "Do what's best for the client in the long term".
Our teams are trained to look beyond just the project/application to our client's application ecosystem as a whole, and juxtaposing that against their business objectives. Project leadership is trained to recognize that any application is only as good as the readiness of the People, the Process and the Platform that supports it. Clients are helped to fully understand the scope of the undertaking so they can make well-informed decisions.
Most clients have never had a "vendor experience" that matches our mission and focus. Informulate has developed a reputation with its clients to make decisions seemingly counter-intuitive to its own profitability. Doing what's best for the client may include simple things like being flexible on availability and scope as needed, or recommending against custom development in favor of off-the-shelf products, or harder things even refusing project work that we feel may not be ready for execution.
Our Unique Focus
We focus on identifying value, building trust, executing efficiently, and supporting a client through not just the project but the business objective. One of our clients was amazed at our reaction when they revealed that they intended to hire a full time software architect on staff. Despite the fact that this would mean reduced work for our team, we helped them define the role, edited the advertisement, interview, and after the hire ramped up the new role to take over some of our existing responsibilities. Staying true to that original philosophy, the company has enjoyed strong client loyalty while building new business and continues to grow at a rapid pace.

We have 18 active clients and a reference network spanning over 30 firms. Our talent pool and clientele is almost equally divided among software and IT enabled services. Nearly 80% of our work pertains to financial services, manufacturing and healthcare domains.
